Spotlight Amplify Auditions

Amplify  is Spotlight’s select community performance troupe, created for  dedicated young performers who are ready to take their talents beyond  the studio and into the community.

Auditions October 8th

7:30-8:30 PM

Prepare a pop/rock or musical theater song.

Rehearsals will take place on Thursdays from 7:30-8:30, with the two groups alternating weeks. Each group will rehearse biweekly, approximately twice per month.

We  will also send families a proposed timeline of performance opportunities so they can have a clear idea of the commitment throughout the year.

Please note there will be a participation fee for those selected to join.

Throughout the year, Amplify performers will represent Spotlight at community events,  festivals, celebrations, fundraisers, and other local performance  opportunities, using music and performance to connect with audiences and  give back to the communities we serve. Examples of performances Amplify  appeared in 2025/2026. Christmas in the Harbor, Hingham Arts Walk,  Scituate Heritage Days, Cohasset Farmers Market, Assisted Living  Facilities and many more.

This year, we are excited to offer two Amplify groups:

Amplify Junior | Ages 9–13
Amplify  Junior is designed for strong young performers who love musical  theater/pop and are excited to perform throughout the community. The  group will prepare polished ensemble numbers, solos, and duets with  simple staging and movement. Repertoire will have a primarily musical  theater and family-friendly contemporary feel, making this troupe a  great fit for a wide variety of community events.

Amplify Teen | Ages 14–18
Amplify  Teen is our advanced performance troupe for teen performers ready to  take on more challenging material and represent Spotlight at community  events throughout the year. Performers will work on group numbers,  solos, duets, harmonies, with repertoire expanding beyond traditional  musical theater into pop, contemporary, and modern vocal music.

Both  Amplify groups are designed for students who are committed and excited  to serve as ambassadors for Spotlight in the community.
