Hana Bowker-Wickersham

voice, piano, guitar

Hana is very excited to be joining the Spotlight team! Having been involved in music since the age of 5, she knew she was always destined to be a music educator and to inspire students in the same way that music teachers and directors have inspired her.

Hana recently graduated from Bridgewater State University with a bachelor’s degree in Music Education. While studying here, she participated in all vocal ensembles, including Chorale, Chamber Singers, Opera, and Pop Vocal. She also played guitar and sang in the Jazz Band and Jazz Combo, as well as played percussion for the Wind Ensemble, giving her a well-rounded performing experience.

After completing her degree, she jumped right into a job as a long term substitute at the Randolph Public Schools as the 5th grade chorus and band teacher. In addition to her public school teaching experience, she has also taught classes and camps with the Company Theatre, Break a Leg Theatre Works, and South Shore Children’s Chorus.

In addition to her teaching experience, she is also a frequent performer in the South Shore musical theatre scene, performing with theatre groups such as the Company Theatre, Break A Leg Theatre Works, Theater Institute, Fowl Player Productions, and Cohasset Dramatic Club. She even performed with Spotlight in their production of Legally Blonde as Enid Hoopes last summer. She participated in her first pit band gig this past spring, playing guitar for Fowl Player Production’s We Will Rock You. She cannot wait to be apart of the amazing team at Spotlight and to work with some new students!
